Literary Dogs

Last week 'Her Indoors' gave a talk to the Uckfield 55 plus group, on being a writer. She was a bit worried about filling an hour so she read out a few extracts from things she had written, to pad it out a bit. They all listened politely to her carefully crafted arty stuff, but the thing that got a round of applause was when she shared my May's Magnet magazine column about the general election and the photograph of me wearing my electioneering rosette. She likes to think she's a bit of a writer, and she does her best, bless her, but I've taught her everything she knows. What can I tell you, I'm a literary dog!
